And the winner is...
Many thanks to everyone who joined us for the Ovid Competition finals on the 1st December. The event was hosted online for the first time in its history and was attended by schools from across the country. Students watched a live retelling of King Midas by storyteller Hugh Lupton and participated in an "Ovid Challenge" (bonus question: how would you make sure Pandora never opened that pesky box? Answers included: superglue!)
The event concluded with a prize-giving ceremony, where the winners in each of our four categories were announced by an expert panel of judges, Hugh Lupton for Live Performance, Rosanna Omitowoju for Artefacts, Caroline Lawrence for Creative Writing, and Steve Simons for Animation (you can meet our judges, here). The quality of entries this year was outstanding! Take a closer look at our winning entries below, or follow the link to our Finalists' Gallery for all the entries of 2020.
