A town mouse is unimpressed at the simple offerings of food from the fields when he visits his friend, the country mouse. He invites the country mouse to his urban home where he feasts royally in the larders of wealthy humans. The humans also keep a cat though – a risk the country mouse is happy to sacrifice fine foods to avoid.
